The Serpentine Lake is situated in London's Hyde Park. The club has its own changing facilities and is allowed to swim in the lake in the mornings during certain hours. If you are interested in joining the club come down and have a chat with some of the swimmers at 8am on any Saturday.
We swim all year round, and large numbers are to be found swimming in the famous "Peter Pan Christmas Day Race". The temperature can get to a tropical 70oF in the heat of Summer and go down to freezing in Winter. When the lake is frozen the swimmers break a hole in the ice to enable them to get their morning constitutional swim.
